TEA TWAT: Addressing the partner with a penis

This is a quick training and clinical handout module to provide rapid clinical considerations for the practitioner to support vaginal microbiome restoration by co-considering the microbiome of a penis owning partner.

Working in genitourinary health in the holistic setting means a consideration of all internal and external influencing factors.

One often overlooked factor is the impact of 'shared microbes'. These are the microbes that are passed between people in close contact. Intimate partners are a good example of this type of sharing that can have quite specific impacts on vaginal/genitourinary health. These shared microbes are not considered sexually transmitted infections. However, they can be passed between people and for some place stress on a fragile microbiome community- leading to symptomatic episodes. So how can you modify microbial sharing to support your vaginal restoration efforts?

In this 5 minute clinical training Moira includes practical written instructions and a short 4 minute training video to support you in navigating microbe sharing in a vaginal/penis interaction.

Patient handouts are included in the downloads
