Advanced local prescription strategies for vaginal health
Practitioner resource:
Genitourinary health is so much more than just the vagina. I would never support a client with just local approaches, but it is important that you have a good understanding of what is available to the holistic practitioner in local treatment strategies and when you might choose one strategy over another.
In this webinar I will discuss topical and local prescription for various populations including:
- Vaginal irrigations, types, indications, timeframes and contraindications
- Extempraneous pessary use: formulation, use and contraindications
- Vaginal probiotic insertion: use, contraindications
- The use of creams and gels
- Sitz baths and washes
- Trouble shooting for unexpected responses.
- Choose an intervention based on the clinical presentation and client specifics.
- Be able to discuss timeframes and expectations with clients
- Be able to troubleshoot and change treatments as required.
This webinar is a advanced prescription webinar. The foundations of vaginal health and ecology will not be a part of the webinar. Prior knowledge is assumed.
